Information

Many people, sometimes unknowingly, use characters from certain languages as symbols or "emojis". Such misused symbols can be found commonly in user profiles, Discord server channels/names, etc. Much of the time, the language symbols are not appreciated nor respected, and are only used for an aesthetic purpose.
People call languages "aesthetic" or "kawaii", which some people could possibly consider rude. Some even use random words in bios, profiles, etc just for the looks or aesthetic of the word. Often times the language is Japanese, Korean, or Chinese.
This is wrong on many levels, as a language is not simply an aesthetic. People may find this "careless" or offensive, so it is best to avoid using language symbols unless you are really saying something with it.
An example is "ッ", which is a Katakana letter; people often use it in place of a smiley face.

Ending Notes and Credits

Thank you so much to everyone who helped me with this, directly and indirectly!
As an ending message, I want to emphasize that this carrd is to educate you on this topic. Just because someone is using language symbols does not mean they should be banned or hated on.
